The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Kinetic Properties of Nickel Leaching by ANOVA Method

open access: yesУспехи физики металлов, 2022
Hydrometallurgical extraction of nickel laterite is more efficient in terms of energy consumption, because it produces less exhaust gas compared to the pyrometallurgical method.

Determination of kinetic parameters for complex transesterification reaction by standard optimisation methods [PDF]

open access: yesHemijska Industrija, 2014
This article presents a methodology for kinetic parameter estimation which is based on standard optimization methods. The parameter estimation procedure is applied to the example of modelling of non-catalytic transesterification reaction, based ...

Kinetics methods for clinical epidemiology problems [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, 2015
SignificanceMedical predictions rely on probabilistic models that link the risk of future events to diagnostic and therapeutic variables. These models result from epidemiologic studies based on direct observation of events and variables in population samples. They work well for acute diseases in otherwise healthy individuals.

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Kinetic resolution of vic-amino alcohols catalyzed by a chiral Cu(II) complex [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Kinetic resolution of N-benzoylated vic-amino alcohols was achieved by benzoylation in the presence of copper triflate and (R,R)-Ph-BOX as catalysts. The observed enantioselectivity was moderate to high.

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

Kinetic Model of Urea-Related Deposit Reactions

open access: yesMolecules, 2023
The thermal analysis kinetic method was employed to solve the activation energies of the thermal decomposition reactions of urea and cyanuric acid, with the purpose of understanding the formation of deposits in the diesel engine SCR system.

Positron emission tomography compartmental models: A basis pursuit strategy for kinetic modelling

open access: yes, 2002
A kinetic modelling approach for the quantification of in vivo tracer studies with dynamic positron emission tomography (PET) is presented. The approach is based on a general compartmental description of the tracer’s fate in vivo and determines a ...
