In recent time, the value placed on kinship ties are phasing out just like any other aspect of the Igbo culture. Language goes with culture and the two cannot be separated. As the culture is dying, so also the language with which the culture is interpreted. The aim of this paper is to expose the kinship ties and the terms in Igbo.
