Extension of Kirchhoff method under stationary phase approximation to determination of polarimetric thermal emission from the sea [PDF]
Wind direction over the sea can be determined from radiometric measurements of the third Stokes parameter (TU). The Kirchhoff method is extended under the stationary phase approximation to compute the dependence of TU on frequency, wind speed and ...

Terahertz Channel Modeling, Estimation and Localization in RIS‐Assisted Systems
Reconfigurable intelligent surfaces have become a recent intensive research focus. Based on practical applications, channel strategies for RIS‐assisted terahertz wireless communication systems are categorized into three different types: channel modeling, channel estimation, and channel localization.

In this work, we examine whether nonnegative solutions exist for a Kirchhoff-type issue that is driven by a fractional d ( z , . ) − $\mathrm{d}\left (\mathrm{z},.\right )-$ Laplacian operator, where d is a continuous positive function.

Model‐Based Time‐Modulated Write Algorithm for 1R Analog Memristive Crossbar Arrays
A novel model‐based time‐modulated write algorithm efficiently programs analog 1R memristive crossbar arrays by varying pulse duration at a fixed voltage. By leveraging a physics‐based compact model and a dynamic gain mechanism, this approach overcomes device nonlinearities and parasitic effects.

A High Order Theory for Linear Thermoelastic Shells: Comparison with Classical Theories
A high order theory for linear thermoelasticity and heat conductivity of shells has been developed. The proposed theory is based on expansion of the 3-D equations of theory of thermoelasticity and heat conductivity into Fourier series in terms of ...

The Kirchhoff-Helmholtz integral for anisotropic elastic media
The Kirchhoff-Helmholtz integral is a powerful tool to model the scattered wavefield from a smooth inter-face in acoustic or isotropic elastic media due to a given incident wavefield and observation points sufficiently far away from the interface.

A Unifying Approach to Self‐Organizing Systems Interacting via Conservation Laws
The article develops a unified way to model and analyze self‐organizing systems whose interactions are constrained by conservation laws. It represents physical/biological/engineered networks as graphs and builds projection operators (from incidence/cycle structure) that enforce those constraints and decompose network variables into constrained versus ...

A fractal model for the sea state bias in radar altimetry [PDF]
The Kirchhoff approximation is used to determine the sea state bias in radar altimetry. A weakly nonlinear model of the sea waves is used to derive the joint moments of two different points separated by a distance R; the bias moment is formulated, and ...
