Vaginal host–microbe signatures linked to placental outcomes in mares
Abstract Background Ascending placentitis is a leading cause of late‐term pregnancy loss in mares. Although pathogens are presumed to ascend from the caudal reproductive tract, the association between the vaginal microbiome and placentitis has not been systematically examined.

Metastatic infection of hypervirulent Klebsiella pneumoniae
Hypervirulent Klebsiella pneumoniae(hvKp) has a unique ability to cause organ or life-threatening tissue invasive infection in multiple sites. This case highlights that classical hvKp resulted in multiple abscesses in every body site, especially in the necrotizing fasciitis and osteomyelitis.

Diagnosis of bacteraemia in neonatal foals using 16S rRNA high‐throughput sequencing
Abstract Background Sepsis is an important cause of morbidity and mortality in foals. Early diagnosis can improve outcome but is complicated by non‐specific clinical signs and delayed confirmation of infection via blood culture. Molecular assays represent a rapid and more sensitive alternative.

Unveiling the potential of Wintergreen (Gaultheria procumbens) essential oil. ABSTRACT This study investigated the antimicrobial, antibiofilm, and insecticidal properties of wintergreen (Gaultheria procumbens L.) essential oil (GPEO). The EO was chemically characterized by GC–MS, confirming methyl salicylate as the predominant compound (99.3%).

Psidium guajava leaves contain potent bioactive compounds like quercetin, myricetin, and triterpenoids that show antioxidant, antidiabetic, anti‐inflammatory, and anticancer effects. They act by modulating NF‐κB, PPARγ, and α‐glucosidase and by inducing apoptosis and cell cycle arrest.

Klebsiella pneumoniae Causing Necrotizing Fasciitis in a Patient With Thalassaemia Major
We present a case of Klebsiella pneumoniae necrotizing fasciitis in a patient with thalassaemia major. Klebsiella sp. is known to cause severe infections in patients with thalassaemia, with high mortality rates.

Clostridium scindens and its metabolite indole‐3‐acetic acid (IAA) are identified as a keystone taxon and metabolic signature in centenarians. Clostridium scindens enhances microbial network stability and produces IAA via its own amidase (AMIE) and aldehyde dehydrogenase (ALDH), thus promoting intestinal homeostasis by activating the aryl hydrocarbon ...
