Canadian survey of antimicrobial resistance in Klebsiella spp. and Enterobacter spp

Journal of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy, 1993
Increasing antimicrobial resistance has been reported for Klebsiella spp. and Enterobacter spp. The in-vitro activities of 14 antimicrobial agents against 656 clinical isolates of Klebsiella spp. and 630 isolates of Enterobacter spp. collected from seven cities in Canada were determined by microbroth dilution.

Cefotaxime resistance and outcome of Klebsiella spp bloodstream infection

European Journal of Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases, 2011
We attempt to describe the epidemiology and outcome associated with cefotaxime-resistant (CTX-R) Klebsiella spp bacteraemia. Klebsiella spp bloodstream infection episodes prospectively collected through a blood culture surveillance programme from January 1991 to December 2008 in a single institution were analysed.

Meningitis Caused by Klebsiella spp in Two Rhesus Monkeys

Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association, 1975

State of the art in typing: Klebsiella spp.

Journal of Hospital Infection, 1990
Klebsiella was first described in 1882 as the causative organism of Friedlander’s pneumonia. Today this form of pneumonia is extremely rare but members of the genus are frequently associated with endemic and epidemic infections in hospitals. Klebsiella is carried in the intestinal tract of 30-40% of humans (Bagley & Seidler, 1977) and is also often ...

Study on Degradation Performances of Klebsiella Spp. For Cyclohexane

Advanced Materials Research, 2014
Degradation performances of Klebsiella spp. for Cyclohexane was studied by using the method of single factor in the paper. The influences of temperature, pH, initial concentration of Cyclohexane, oxygen supply, culture time etc. were studied and the optimum conditions were determined. The results show that the activated strains of Klebsiella spp.

Klebsiella spp Urinary Tract Infections During First Year After Renal Transplantation

Transplantation Proceedings, 2014
Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are the most common infections in renal transplant recipients (RTR). Klebsiella spp is a well-recognized source of nosocomial infections in immunocompromised patients and is also the most common pathogen capable of producing extended-spectrum β-lactamases (ESBLs).We performed a retrospective cohort study reviewing ...
