CTX-M extended-spectrum β-lactamase-producing Klebsiella spp, Salmonella spp, Shigella spp and Escherichia coli isolates in Iranian hospitals

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Microbiology, 2016
This study was conducted in Iran in order to assess the distribution of CTX-M type ESBLs producing Enterobacteriaceae. From January 2012 to December 2013, totally 198 E. coli, 139 Klebsiella spp, 54 Salmonella spp and 52 Shigella spp from seven hospitals of six provinces in Iran were screened for resistance to extended-spectrum cephalosporins.

Carriage of ESBL/AmpC-producing or ciprofloxacin non-susceptible Escherichia coli and Klebsiella spp. in healthy people in Norway

open access: yesAntimicrobial Resistance and Infection Control, 2016
Background Asymptomatic carriage has been recognised as an important risk factor for infection caused by antibiotic resistant bacteria. A 14% global prevalence of Extended-Spectrum Beta-lactamase (ESBL) carriage was recently reported, but large intra-and

Crosstalk Between Intratumoral Microbes and Tumor Immunity: Implications for Tumor Therapy

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Emerging studies indicate that microbes are present in tumor cells and immune cells. Intratumoral microbiota (ITM) constitute an important component of the tumor immune microenvironment (TIME) and have an important impact on tumor progression and treatment. Objective Through the general elaboration of ITM represented by bacteria and
