Keratorefractive lenticule extraction (KLEx) in patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices

BOHR International Journal of Current Research in Optometry and Ophthalmology
Purpose: The use of an excimer laser in corneal refractive surgery generates an electromagnetic field that can interfere with cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs); in addition, CIEDs may disturb the eye-tracking system of the laser machine, leading to potential errors in the surgical refractive correction plan.

Comparison of Femtosecond-assisted Laser In Situ Keratomileusis (FS-LASIK) and Keratorefractive Lenticule Extraction (KLEx) in Steep Keratometry

Klinische Monatsblätter für Augenheilkunde
Abstract Background This study evaluates the impact of steep preoperative keratometry on postoperative refractive, visual, and higher-order aberration (HOA) outcomes in femtosecond-assisted laser in situ keratomileusis (FS-LASIK) and keratorefractive lenticule extraction (KLEx) procedures for moderate myopia and low astigmatism.

Comparative Effectiveness of VISUMAX 800 with KLEx and Femtosecond LASIK in the Treatment of Myopic Astigmatism.

Journal of cataract and refractive surgery
To compare the visual and refractive outcomes of KLEx using the VISUMAX 800 femtosecond laser and FS-LASIK performed using the VISUMAX 800 femtosecond laser and the EX500 excimer laser in the treatment of myopic astigmatism.Single-center, private ophthalmology center.Retrospective comparative study.A total of 237 eyes (133 KLEx, 104 FS-LASIK) were ...
