An adaptive KLT approach for speech enhancement
IEEE Transactions on Speech and Audio Processing, 2001An adaptive Karhunen-Loeve transform (KLT) tracking-based algorithm is proposed for enhancement of speech degraded by colored additive interference. This algorithm decomposes noisy speech into its components along the axes of a KLT-based vector space of clean speech. It is observed that the noise energy is disparately distributed along each eigenvector.

Adaptive hyperspectral image compression using the KLT and integer KLT algorithms
2014 NASA/ESA Conference on Adaptive Hardware and Systems (AHS), 2014The use of the Karhunen-Loeve Transform (KLT) for spectral decorrelation in compression of hyperspectral satellite images results in improved performance. However, the KLT algorithm consists of sequential processes, which are computationally intensive, such as the covariance matrix computation, eigenvector evaluation and matrix multiplications.

Uncertainty Estimation for KLT Tracking
2015The Kanade-Lucas-Tomasi tracker (KLT) is commonly used for tracking feature points due to its excellent speed and reasonable accuracy. It is a standard algorithm in applications such as video stabilization, image mosaicing, egomotion estimation, structure from motion and Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM). However, our understanding of errors

Lossless hyperspectral compression using KLT
IEEE International IEEE International IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2004. IGARSS '04. Proceedings. 2004, 2004We propose an algorithm for the construction of a nearly optimal integer to integer approximation of the Karhunen-Loeve Transform. The algorithm is based on the method of P. Hao and Q. Shi as described in [1] but-unlike described in the paper-we vary the pivoting in order to obtain a better approximation of the linear transform.

In 1960, the astronomer Frank Drake listened to the stars Tau Ceti and Epsilon Eridani, searching for extra terrestrial intelligent signals: the so called “Ozma project” was the first experimental SETI attempt. Since then, SETI has been mainly radio, although optical SETI and the technosignature search are becoming more and more of interest.

ROMAN 2006 - The 15th IEEE International Symposium on Robot and Human Interactive Communication, 2006
This paper proposes a novel real-time robust hand tracking algorithm, integrating multi-cues, and a limb?s degree of freedom. For this purpose, we construct a limb model and maintain the model obtained from KLT-AR methods with respect to second-order auto-regression model and Kanade-Lucas-Tomasi(KLT) features, respectively.

Hybrid KLT-SVD image compression
1997 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 2002This paper investigates a transform adaptation technique, applied to transform coding of images, as a way of exploiting the variation in local statistics within an image. The method makes use of the relationship between the Karhunen-Loeve transform (KLT) and singular value decomposition (SVD), and their energy compaction properties.
