Exo-muscle: A semi-rigid assistive device for the knee [PDF]
In this work, we introduce the principle, design and mechatronics of Exo-Muscle, a novel assistive device for the knee joint. Different from the existing systems based on rigid exoskeleton structures or soft-tendon driven approaches, the proposed device leverages a new semi-rigid principle that explores the benefits of both rigid and soft systems.

This study proposes a magnetoelastic strain sensor for highly deformed posture perception. The sensor can maintain stable sensing signal output under significant strain (200%) and at varying stretch rates (ranging from 1000 to 8000 mm min−1). The sensor design is simple and can be applied to soft robots and wearable devices.

Accelerated Bone Healing via Electrical Stimulation
Electrical stimulation significantly impacts bone healing by enhancing osteoblast proliferation, differentiation, and vascularization through calmodulin/calcineurin/NFAT signaling. It also boosts macrophage function and cell migration, presenting a comprehensive approach to accelerating bone repair.
