Reducing Personalization Time and Energy Cost While Walking Outdoors with a Portable Exosuit

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Rapid Real‐World Optimization! An AF‐based human‐in‐the‐loop optimization strategy rapidly personalizes a portable hip extension exosuit for incline walking. Real‐time Bayesian optimization of assistive force significantly reduces metabolic energy—up to 16.2%—while converging in just 3 min 24 s.

Can a powered knee-ankle prosthesis improve weight-bearing symmetry during stand-to-sit transitions in individuals with above-knee amputations?

open access: yesJournal of NeuroEngineering and Rehabilitation, 2023
Background After above-knee amputation, the missing biological knee and ankle are replaced with passive prosthetic devices. Passive prostheses are able to dissipate limited amounts of energy using resistive damper systems during “negative energy” tasks ...

Re-Infection Outcomes Following One- And Two-Stage Surgical Revision of Infected Knee Prosthesis: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2015
Background Periprosthetic joint infection (PJI) is a serious complication of total knee arthroplasty. Two-stage revision is the most widely used technique and considered as the most effective for treating periprosthetic knee infection.
