All‐Polyimide‐Mediated Liquid Metal Assembly on Aerogels for Breathable and Robust Electronic Skins
An all‐polyimide‐mediated assembly strategy resolves the fundamental conflict between physiological breathability and electromechanical robustness in wearable electronics. By integrating a polyamic acid‐encapsulated liquid metal ink onto an ultralight polyimide aerogel, imidization‐induced contraction enables low‐temperature conductive activation and ...

Generating Dynamical Systems with Iterated Torus Knots as Solutions
The occurrence of knots as solutions of dynamical systems has been widely studied in the literature. In particular, ways to determine families of knots as solutions of differential equations have been described in several papers.

Colored HOMFLY-PT polynomials of quasi-alternating 3-braid knots
Obtaining a closed form expression for the colored HOMFLY-PT polynomials of knots from 3-strand braids carrying arbitrary SU(N) representation is a challenging problem.

An assessment of the strength of knots and splices used as eye terminations in a sailing environment
Research into knots, splices and other methods of forming an eye termination has been limited, despite the fact that they are essential and strongly affect the performance of a rope.

Transducers convert physical signals into electrical and optical representations, yet each mechanism is bounded by intrinsic trade‐offs across bandwidth, sensitivity, speed, and energy. This review maps transduction mechanisms across physical scale and frequency, showing how heterogeneous integration and multiphysics co‐design transform isolated ...

Isogonal Weavings on the Sphere: Knots, Links, Polycatenanes
We describe mathematical knots and links as piecewise linear – straight, non-intersecting sticks meeting at corners. Isogonal structures have all corners related by symmetry ("vertex" transitive).

This article introduces a soft wearable eyelid sling device incorporating a hydraulic soft artificial muscle (SAM) for achieving complete closure of an eyelid. The SAM is driven by a cam mechanism that provides a displacement profile closely matched with those of a healthy eyelid.

Bioinspired Soft‐Skeleton Robotics With Cooperative Shape Transformation and Stiffness Adaptation
A bioinspired soft‐skeleton robot that integrates variable‐stiffness chain skeletons into a soft textile skin is developed. The chain skeletons are highly flexible initially but can stiffen upon pneumatic actuation, enabling large deformation and enhanced load‐bearing capacity.

Classification of defects in ordered systems, based on the homotopy theory, conceived by Gérard Toulouse and Maurice Kléman has a very wide range of applications. We illustrate its modus operandi with three experimental examples.
