Knots and Links in Overtwisted Contact Manifolds
Suppose $(\M,\xi)$ be an overtwisted contact 3-manifold. We prove that any Legendrian and transverse link in $(\M,\xi)$ having overtwisted complement can be coarsely classified by their classical invariants.

Magnetic Textiles: A Review of Materials, Fabrication, Properties, and Applications
Magnetic textiles (M‐textiles) are emerging as a programmable materials platform that merges magnetic matter with hierarchical textile structures. This article consolidates magnetic material classes, textile architectures, and fabrication and magnetization strategies, revealing structure–property–function relationships that govern magneto‐mechanical ...

An assessment of the strength of knots and splices used as eye terminations in a sailing environment
Research into knots, splices and other methods of forming an eye termination has been limited, despite the fact that they are essential and strongly affect the performance of a rope.

The strategy of engineering nanogel network topology is developed to achieve iterative activation of mechanophores upon high‐frequency and low‐intensity ultrasound. This places the nanogel system among the systems that can respond to the ultrasound with the highest frequency and lowest intensity as well as have the fastest activation rate so far.

Constrained knots in lens spaces
In this paper, we study a special family of $(1,1)$ knots called constrained knots, which includes 2-bridge knots in the 3-sphere $S^3$ and simple knots in lens spaces.

Soybean employs its circadian clock, governed by GmCCA1, to rhythmically defend against soybean cyst nematodes. The pathogen retaliates by secreting the effector Hg4E02, which hijacks the clock to suppress defense and co‐opt the host's translation machinery for nutrient acquisition.

Exceptional surgeries on certain (1,1)-knots [PDF]
We determine certain exceptional surgeries on a 3--parametric family of hyperbolic 1--bridge genus one knots ((1,1)-knots, in short). In particular, we show that such knots admit two infinite series of lens space surgeries.

Harnessing Phase Separation for the Development of High‐Performance Hydrogels
ABSTRACT Hydrogels are indispensable for the development of next‐generation bioelectronics, soft robotics, and biomedical devices, where their mechanical properties determine performance and reliability. Among strategies to enhance hydrogel mechanics, phase separation enables controlled heterogeneity resulting in gel networks that are reinforced by ...
