Structural Quality Metrics to Evaluate Knowledge Graphs [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
This work presents six structural quality metrics that can measure the quality of knowledge graphs and analyzes five cross-domain knowledge graphs on the web (Wikidata, DBpedia, YAGO, Google Knowledge Graph, Freebase) as well as 'Raftel', Naver's integrated knowledge graph. The 'Good Knowledge Graph' should define detailed classes and properties in its

TOMM20 as a driver of cancer aggressiveness via oxidative phosphorylation, maintenance of a reduced state, and resistance to apoptosis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
TOMM20 increases cancer aggressiveness by maintaining a reduced state with increased NADH and NADPH levels, oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS), and apoptosis resistance while reducing reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels. Conversely, CRISPR‐Cas9 knockdown of TOMM20 alters these cancer‐aggressive traits.

NetLSD: Hearing the Shape of a Graph

open access: yes, 2018
Comparison among graphs is ubiquitous in graph analytics. However, it is a hard task in terms of the expressiveness of the employed similarity measure and the efficiency of its computation.

A Dual-Store Structure for Knowledge Graphs [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
To effectively manage increasing knowledge graphs in various domains, a hot research topic, knowledge graph storage management, has emerged. Existing methods are classified to relational stores and native graph stores. Relational stores are able to store large-scale knowledge graphs and convenient in updating knowledge, but the query performance ...

Targeting the MDM2‐MDM4 interaction interface reveals an otherwise therapeutically active wild‐type p53 in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study investigates an alternative approach to reactivating the oncosuppressor p53 in cancer. A short peptide targeting the association of the two p53 inhibitors, MDM2 and MDM4, induces an otherwise therapeutically active p53 with unique features that promote cell death and potentially reduce toxicity towards proliferating nontumor cells.

Knowledge-graph based Proactive Dialogue Generation with Improved Meta-Learning [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
Knowledge graph-based dialogue systems can narrow down knowledge candidates for generating informative and diverse responses with the use of prior information, e.g., triple attributes or graph paths. However, most current knowledge graph (KG) cover incomplete domain-specific knowledge.

Targeting the AKT/mTOR pathway attenuates the metastatic potential of colorectal carcinoma circulating tumor cells in a murine xenotransplantation model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dual targeting of AKT and mTOR using MK2206 and RAD001 reduces tumor burden in an intracardiac colon cancer circulating tumor cell xenotransplantation model. Analysis of AKT isoform‐specific knockdowns in CTC‐MCC‐41 reveals differentially regulated proteins and phospho‐proteins by liquid chromatography coupled mass spectrometry. Circulating tumor cells

Inhibitor of DNA binding‐1 is a key regulator of cancer cell vasculogenic mimicry

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Elevated expression of transcriptional regulator inhibitor of DNA binding 1 (ID1) promoted cancer cell‐mediated vasculogenic mimicry (VM) through regulation of pro‐angiogenic and pro‐cancerous genes (e.g. VE‐cadherin (CDH5), TIE2, MMP9, DKK1). Higher ID1 expression also increased metastases to the lung and the liver.

Convolutional 2D Knowledge Graph Embeddings

open access: yes, 2018
Link prediction for knowledge graphs is the task of predicting missing relationships between entities. Previous work on link prediction has focused on shallow, fast models which can scale to large knowledge graphs.
