ABSTRACT Wāhine Māori (women/females) are disproportionally affected by breast cancer in Aotearoa New Zealand. Following a breast cancer diagnosis, wāhine must make important surgical decisions while navigating a Westernised health system that can be dismissive of Māori views of health and tikanga (customary practices).

Migrating ILS to Koha

In 2018 the Dalton McCaughey Library migrated from the SirsiDynix product Horizon to the open source ILS Koha. This was undertaken primarily for cost reasons but has benefited the library in other ways as well (Koha is a more modern and usable system). This article lists some recollections and comments on the migration process.

ABSTRACT This study draws attention to, and provides a description of, a previously unmapped and emerging self‐medication phenomenon occurring in Aotearoa New Zealand where psychedelic substances are being used in the absence of clinical supervision to address a wide range of health and wellbeing issues, partly in response to unmet mental health needs.
