KOMPSAT-5 spotlight SAR processor using FSA with calculation of effective velocity
2010 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2010In KOMPSAT-5 program, Korea Aerospace Research Institute has made SAR imaging chain analysis tool to evaluate imaging system of KOMPSAT-5. The tool consists of a simulator and a processor. The simulator simulates observation of a scene by the operational mode of KOMPSAT-5 and generates SAR raw data. The processor generates an image of the scene.

Design and Implementation for KOMPSAT-5 Orbit Determination Operations
SpaceOps 2012 Conference, 2012KOrea-Multi-Purpose-SATellite (KOMPSAT)-5 is the first Korean satellite to perform synthetic aperture radar (SAR) mission and support radio occultation. In order to process SAR and radio occultation data, precise position and velocity are required. KOMPSAT-5 orbit determination system consists of Operational orbit determination (OOD) and precise orbit ...

Radio Occultation Mission in Korea Multi-Purpose Satellite KOMPSAT-5
2009The first occultation mission in the Korean space program, KOMPSAT-5, is scheduled for launch in 2010. KOMPSAT-5 will have a dual frequency GPS receiver to generate precision orbit determination data and occultation data. The KOMPSAT-5 spacecraft and the characteristics of its occultation payload are described in this paper.
