Co-operative Kondo effect in the two-channel Kondo lattice [PDF]
We discuss the possibility of a co-operative Kondo effect driven by channel interference in a Kondo lattice where local moments are coupled to a single Fermi sea via two orthogonal scattering channels. In this situation, the channel quantum number is not conserved.

Tunable Kondo screening length at a Y-junction of three inhomogeneous spin chains
We derive the topological Kondo Hamiltonian describing a Y junction of three XX-spin chains connected to outer quantum Ising chains with different tilting angles for the Ising axis.

Holographic impurities and Kondo effect
Magnetic impurities are responsible for many interesting phenomena in condensed matter systems, notably the Kondo effect and quantum phase transitions. Here we present a holographic model of a magnetic impurity that captures the main physical properties ...

Hybridization of an s-wave impurity with graphene lattice
Hybridization function is a quantity characterizing electron hoppings between an impurity and a host material in which the impurity resides, a full understandinging of it is crucial for studying correlation effects in various impurity problems.

Spin‐Split Edge States in Metal‐Supported Graphene Nanoislands Obtained by CVD
Combining STM measurements and ab‐initio calculations, we show that zig‐zag edges in graphene nanoislands grown on Ni(111) by CVD retrieve their spin‐polarized edge states after intercalation of a few monolayers of Au. ABSTRACT Spin‐split states localized on zigzag edges have been predicted for different free‐standing graphene nanostructures.

Self-Doping and the Mott-Kondo Scenario for Infinite-Layer Nickelate Superconductors
We give a brief review of the Mott-Kondo scenario and its consequence in the recently-discovered infinite-layer nickelate superconductors. We argue that the parent state is a self-doped Mott insulator and propose an effective t- J-K model to account for ...

Donor Extended Blue TADF Dendrimer for High‐Performance Solution‐Processed OLEDs
A dendronized MR‐TADF emitter, DOBNA‐SpAc‐DCz, was designed to improve solubility, hole transport, and exciton dynamics for solution‐processed OLEDs. Incorporation of ter(tert‐butylcarbazole) dendrons decreases ΔEST and accelerates RISC, yielding short delayed lifetimes (∼2 µs).

Topological Kondo Effect with Majorana Fermions [PDF]
The Kondo effect is a striking consequence of the coupling of itinerant electrons to a quantum spin with degenerate energy levels. While degeneracies are commonly thought to arise from symmetries or fine-tuning of parameters, the recent emergence of Majorana fermions has brought to the fore an entirely different possibility: a "topological degeneracy ...

This study analyzed log data from the Japanese hinotori surgical robot to characterize manipulation performed by experienced surgeons in robotic surgery. Compared with less‐experienced surgeons, the experienced group demonstrated shorter task durations, reduced travel distances with the right instrument (Arm3), faster and more dynamically modulated ...
