First SOLPS‐ITER Simulation Study of Japanese DEMO on Leakage of Seeded Ar Impurity
ABSTRACT For JA DEMO, one of the grand challenges is efficiently handling the extreme power loads onto plasma‐facing components, particularly the divertor targets. Impurity seeding is an essential strategy for increasing the radiation losses and thereby reducing the heat load on the targets.

Our study reveals that caving‐enhanced geothermal systems (C‐EGS) with adequately fractured reservoirs achieve optimal heat extraction by minimizing preferential flow paths, while conventional fracturing (F‐EGS) and pipe‐based (P‐EGS) systems suffer accelerated thermal drawdown.

This review systematically examines how different transition metal compounds—such as binary and multinary metal oxides, halides, sulfides, and salts—exhibit thermochromism based on the d‐electron configurations of their transition metal cations. It focuses on three main mechanisms of thermochromism: phase transition, charge transfer, and bandgap change.

Bimetallic Cu and Fe oxide species supported on porous silica with interparticle mesoporosity act as efficient photo‐Fenton‐like catalysts under visible light. Photogenerated electrons drive the Cu2+/Cu1+ redox cycle. Part of Cu1+ is responsible for the regeneration of the Fe3+/Fe2+ cycle at neutral pH. Light irradiation additionally induces structural

Doped Ta3N5 Semi‐Transparent Photoanode Enabling Stable Solar Redox Flow Cell Operation
Synergistic Al:TiO2 underlayer and La doping stabilize semitransparent Ta3N5 photoelectrodes for over 90 h of continuous operation in alkaline solution. The solar redox flow cell demonstrated 12 photocharge–discharge cycles at ∼55% coulombic efficiency using a K4Fe(CN)6|1,5‐DHAQ chemistry. Solar redox flow cells (SRFCs) are photoelectrochemical devices

Purple‐light activation of aggregated diphenyl disulfide unlocks the photocatalyst‐free racemization of 1‐arylethanols. The resulting sulfur radical process operates under mild conditions and couples with the enzymatic acylation by Candida antarctica lipase B in a photobiocatalytic dynamic kinetic resolution, revealing new opportunities for sulfur ...

Abstract Objective About one third of epilepsy patients are drug‐resistant. Resective epilepsy surgery remains a key treatment option but depends critically on accurate identification of the seizure onset zone (SOZ), which is still guided mainly by subjective visual inspection of electrophysiological signals.

Two exciplex emitters are constructed based on a host‐guest doping strategy, and their exciton dynamics processes are investigated in depth. High‐performance OLEDs are fabricated by employing these exciplexes as emitters or sensitizers, providing excellent electroluminescence efficiencies and low efficiency roll‐offs.

An orthogonal spirobifluorene‐fusion strategy is introduced for B/N/O‐alternated MR frameworks, enabling improved kRISC (5.46 × 103 s−1), high ΦPL (97%), and narrow‐band pure‐red emission. Vacuum‐evaporated OLEDs incorporating this emitter achieve an EQEmax >40% (FWHM = 36 nm) and exhibit exceptionally low efficiency roll‐off at high luminance ...
