USP29‐regulated noncanonical stabilization of the hypoxia‐inducible factor‐α in aggressive prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

TELEPÜLÉSI EGÉSZSÉGEGYENLŐTLENSÉGEK A GAZDASÁGI FEJLETTSÉG TRIADIKUS FELBONTÁSA ALAPJÁN = HEALTH INEQUALITIES ON SETTLEMENT LEVEL BY THE TRIADIC RESOLUTION OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Tanulmányom célja a magyar települési szintű egészségegyenlőtlenségek bemutatása a gazdasági fejlettség összefüggésében. Ezen vizsgálati célhoz a gazdasági fejlettség háromtényezős (triadikus) felbontásának módszerét hívtam segítségül, amellyel ...

Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.

Nonparametric Edge Detection in Speckled Imagery

open access: yes, 2012
We address the issue of edge detection in Synthetic Aperture Radar imagery. In particular, we propose nonparametric methods for edge detection, and numerically compare them to an alternative method that has been recently proposed in the literature.

PARP inhibitors induce a senescence phenotype in non‐small cell lung carcinoma cell lines

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Talazoparib is the most potent inducer of senescence among different PARP1 inhibitors in human NSCLC cells. In the absence of PARP, no senescence phenotype was observed, demonstrating that PARP1 is necessary for the induction of senescence by this inhibitor.

Bifidobacterial Dominance of the Gut in Early Life and Acquisition of Antimicrobial Resistance. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Bifidobacterium species are important commensals capable of dominating the infant gut microbiome, in part by producing acids that suppress growth of other taxa.
