Elucidating Thermally Enhanced Luminescence in Au(III) Complexes for High‐Performance Organic Light Emitting Diodes

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
We report a series of Au(III) complexes incorporating asymmetric carbazolyl motifs that regulate co‐facial distance between donor and acceptor moieties. Femtosecond transient absorption and density functional theory computation analyses reveal rapid reverse internal upconversion from the lowest triplet state (T1) to a thermally accessible higher‐lying ...

Cyano‐Substituted Platinum(II) Complexes for Highly Efficient Deep‐Blue Phosphor‐Sensitized Fluorescent OLEDs

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Two pronounced features are found in a cyano‐substituted blue Pt(II) complex: suppression of exciplex emission and enhanced PLQY. Both features render the complex suitable as a sensitizer in phosphor‐sensitized fluorescence scheme, enabling a high‐efficiency deep‐blue OLED.
