Abstract Recent publications in soil science have reopened discussions over how soil and soil science should be defined, reflecting productive tension between historical constructs and the evolving frontiers of the discipline. While new definitions offered over the past decade provide valuable perspectives, they inevitably rely on past conventions and ...

ABSTRACT The study aimed to investigate the effects of 5 weeks of post‐exercise cold‐water immersion (CWI) following high‐intensity interval training (HIIT) sessions on the satellite cell pool, muscle content of inflammatory markers, muscle expression of peroxisome proliferator‐activated receptor‐γ coactivator 1‐α (PGC‐1α), maximal oxygen uptake (V ...

The New Horizons Extended Mission Target: Arrokoth Search and Discovery
Following the Pluto flyby of the New Horizons spacecraft, the mission provided a unique opportunity to explore the Kuiper Belt in situ. The possibility existed to fly by a Kuiper Belt object (KBO), as well as to observe additional objects at distances ...

The Dynamic Inducing Magnetic Field Signal at Triton
Abstract Triton, Neptune's largest moon, is suspected of harboring a subsurface ocean. Detecting sub‐surface oceans requires measuring the ocean's induced magnetic field, typically exploiting common frequencies at which the field environment of the moon changes, in this case Triton's path through Neptune's magnetosphere.

JWST Spectroscopy of a Blue Binary Cold Classical Kuiper Belt Object
We present observations of two binary systems within the cold classical region of the Kuiper Belt—2001 XR254 and 2016 BP81—obtained with the JWST Near-Infrared Spectrograph.

Abstract The incompatible behavior of Lithium during magmatic differentiation and high mobility during aqueous alteration make it a valuable tracer of crustal processes on Mars. Its preferential incorporation into secondary phyllosilicates further links Li to clay‐forming environments, which are critical for evaluating past aqueous activity and ...

Sustainable Water Systems in Space: A Review of Current Technologies and Future Prospects
Abstract Sustainable water management is a critical challenge in space exploration, where the limited availability of resources requires innovative approaches to ensure astronauts' survival on long‐duration missions. This narrative review explores the key technologies and methods involved in water recycling, in situ resource utilization (ISRU), and ...

Kuiper Belt Objects Along the Pluto-Express Path [PDF]
The science objective of this work is to identify objects in the Kuiper Belt which will, in the 5 years following Pluto encounter, be close to the flight path of NASA's Pluto Express.

The Edges of Planetary Systems: Falling Off the Kuiper Cliff in a Dissipating Gas Disk
Probably the last planetesimals to have formed from dust in the solar nebula are cold classical Kuiper Belt Objects (CCKBOs). To the extent that they are isolated and unchanged since birth, CCKBOs offer direct insights into nebular processes.

Colors and Spectra of Kuiper Belt Objects
We present new measurements of the optical colors of Kuiper Belt Objects, principally from the Keck 10-m telescope. The measurements confirm the existence of a wide spread in the B-V, V-R and R-I color indices (Luu and Jewitt 1996). Relative to the sun, the Kuiper Belt Objects exhibit reflected colors from nearly neutral to very red.
