TaANT11‐4A enhances grain yield by orchestrating photosynthesis and carbohydrate metabolism through direct transcriptional activation

TaANT11‐4A is a positive regulator of wheat grain size and yield, directly activating TaEGY2, TaAAE1, and TaAAE2 to enhance photosynthesis and carbohydrate metabolism. The favorable Hap2 haplotype increases TaANT11‐4A expression and grain size, providing a genetic resource for breeding higher‐yielding wheat varieties.

Chemical and morphological diversity of foliar epicuticular waxes in economically important grain crops

Plant epicuticular waxes play vital roles in mitigating environmental stressors. This study chemically and morphologically characterises foliar epicuticular waxes across monocot and dicot grain crops, identifying broad inter‐ and intra‐species differences in wax biosynthetic strategies.
