Composition and Provenance of Victoria Group Sandstones in Southern North Victoria Land, Antarctica

open access: yesNew Zealand Journal of Geology and Geophysics, Volume 69, Issue 3, September 2026.
Three distinct source areas contributed to sandstones of the Victoria Group within the Transantarctic Basin in southern North Victoria Land. During the Permian, quartzose sandstones were derived from erosion of the local Ross Orogen, likely from an uplifted swell in the area of today's Ross Sea, the Ross High.

Decoding chemical profiles in insect‐induced gall development: Insights from Phacopteron lentiginosum–Garuga pinnata interactions

open access: yesEntomological Science, Volume 29, Issue 3, September 2026.
Analysis of volatile and non‐volatile metabolites across three developmental stages (3rd, 4th and 5th instar nymphal stages) of leaf galls induced by Phacopteron lentiginosum on Garuga pinnata revealed that the 3rd stage exhibited the highest chemical diversity and concentration followed by 4th and 5th stages.

Organotitanyl “TiCp” Fragment Capping the Bowl‐Shaped Unit in the Ternary Anion [(Cp)Ti(Sn3Bi3)]2−

open access: yesZeitschrift für anorganische und allgemeine Chemie, Volume 652, Issue 12, 3 August 2026.
A novel ternary anion, [(η5‐Cp)Ti(Sn3Bi3‐κ3)]2− composed of a cyclopentadienyl titanium fragment coordinated by a Sn3Bi3 bowl‐shaped cluster unit, is reproted. Unlike homoatomic nine‐atom clusters of heavier tetrel elements, which retain their identity upon dissolution, intermetalloid clusters are not formed directly from ternary alkali‐metal alloys in

Coupled Operando Mössbauer‐Raman Spectroscopic Analysis of Iron Molybdate Catalysts During Oxidative Dehydrogenation

open access: yesChemCatChem, Volume 18, Issue 15, 14 August 2026.
We demonstrate the potential of a coupled SMS‐Raman setup for the ODH of EtOH over a Fe2(MoO4)3 + MoO3 catalyst during reductive conditions. Coupling both methods allows to distinguish (sub)surface and bulk properties of the material during catalysis, that can be correlated with activity and selectivity data from mass spectrometry.

A Longitudinal Comparison of the Effects of Election Outcomes on System Legitimacy in the United Kingdom and United States

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Social Psychology, Volume 56, Issue 5, Page 922-938, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Using three‐wave panel data from the United Kingdom (N = 604) and the United States (N = 512), we examined changes in system‐legitimization across the 2024 electoral cycle and whether trajectories differed for electoral winners and losers. In both countries, system‐legitimization increased after the election, suggesting that elections function

More inequality, more violence acceptance? Investigating the link between economic inequality and tolerance of gender‐based violence

open access: yesAnalyses of Social Issues and Public Policy, Volume 26, Issue 2, August 2026.
Abstract Beyond its well‐documented health‐related effects, economic inequality has significant sociopsychological consequences. This research examines how perceived economic inequality is associated with tolerance of gender‐based violence through status anxiety and sexualization processes.
