Market panic on different time-scales [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Cross-sectional signatures of market panic were recently discussed on daily time scales in [1], extended here to a study of cross-sectional properties of stocks on intra-day time scales.

MR‐DELTAnet: A Longitudinal MRI‐Transformer Model Predicting Pathological Complete Response and Revealing Immune Microenvironment via scRNA‐seq in Locally Advanced Rectal Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The MR‐DELTAnet model utilizes longitudinal MRI to predict treatment response after neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy in locally rectal cancer patients, accurately identifying patients likely to achieve pathological complete response for personalized management.

Semi-Continuous Spatial Statistical Analysis Using AIS Data for Vessel Traffic Flow Characteristics in Fairway

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering, 2021
As high vessel traffic in fairways is likely to cause frequent marine accidents, understanding vessel traffic flow characteristics is necessary to prevent marine accidents in fairways.

The Generalized Spectral Kurtosis Estimator

open access: yes, 2010
Due to its conceptual simplicity and its proven effectiveness in real-time detection and removal of radio frequency interference (RFI) from radio astronomy data, the Spectral Kurtosis (SK) estimator is likely to become a standard tool of a new generation

Discovery of an Adaptive Neuroimmune Response Driving Itch and Fast Tick Removal with Implications for Preventing Pathogen Transmission

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Doehl et al. discovered an adaptive neuroimmune mechanism that induces itch in tick‐exposed guinea pigs, enabling rapid tick removal. This itch‐induced tick removal (IITR) is mediated by an adaptive cellular immune response and is independent of IgG, IgE, or TRPV1.

A New Goodness of Fit Test for Multivariate Normality and Comparative Simulation Study

open access: yesMathematics, 2021
The testing of multivariate normality remains a significant scientific problem. Although it is being extensively researched, it is still unclear how to choose the best test based on the sample size, variance, covariance matrix and others.

Volatility analysis and forecasting of vegetable prices using an ARMA‐GARCH model: An application of the CF filter and seasonal adjustment method to Korean green onions

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
Abstract The vegetable market experiences significant price fluctuations due to the complex interplay of trend, cyclical, seasonal, and irregular factors. This study takes Korean green onions as an example and employs the Christiano–Fitzgerald filter and the CensusX‐13 seasonal adjustment methods to decompose its price into four components: trend ...

Diffusion Kurtosis Imaging [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Diffusion Kurtosis Imaging (DKI) is an advanced imaging technique that expands the utility of diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) and diffusion tensor imaging (DTI). Kurtosis is a measure of skewness of the shape of a probability distribution, which reflects the deviation of a given distribution from the normal Gaussian distribution.

Analyzing individual rent price ratios in eastern German agricultural land markets: A GAMLSS approach

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
Abstract This study explores the rent price ratio in agricultural land markets, crucial for evaluating market efficiency, policy needs, and farmer decision‐making. Traditionally, the analyses faced challenges due to the absence of concurrent sale and rent data for the same land, potentially leading to biased results.
