Side Payments of Exceptions: The Implications for Equitable and Efficient Climate Control [PDF]

open access: yes
The Kyoto Protocol prioritizes equity in international climate control by exempting developing countries from compulsory emissions reductions, though at a loss to efficiency.

GALNT10 Affects O‐Glycosylation of IGFBP7 to Promote Tumor Vascular Remodeling and Metastasis of Ovarian Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The glycosyltransferase GALNT10 facilitates ovarian cancer metastasis through the induction of tumor cell EMT and tumor vascular dysfunction. GALNT10 enhanced the extracellular secretion of IGFBP7 through O‐GalNAc glycosylation modification at the T188 site, which subsequently interacts with CD93 on endothelial cells, leading to vascular remodeling ...

A future for Kyoto? [PDF]

open access: yes
This text is based on the English translation of extracts from a report to an advisory economic group to the French Prime Minister (Conseil d'Analyse Economique). This report was presented on July 2002 and published in 2003, (Guesnerie(2003).

A Tac1‐Expressing Brainstem Pathway Underlies the Pathogenesis of Trigeminal Neuralgia

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A critical TG‐Sp5CTac1‐PBNTac1 pathway drives trigeminal neuropathic pain (TNP). Tac1‐expressing parabrachial nucleus (PBNTac1) neurons exhibit heightened responses to innocuous stimuli in TNP, and chemogenetic inhibition of these neurons effectively prevents TNP development.

A Testis‐Specific Aralkylamine N‐Acetyltransferase Regulates Dimorphic Sperm Function and Male Fertility in Moths

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We identify a Lepidoptera‐conserved testis‐specific arylalkylamine N‐acetyltransferase (LTNAT) that governs male moth fertility via a novel mechanism. LTNAT loss disrupts eupyrene sperm mitochondrial derivatives and impairs apyrene sperm motility, offering a safe molecular target for innovative pesticides and genetic pest control.

Deforestation in the tropics: after the exclusion from Clean Development Mechanisms new opportunities for the Kyoto protocol

open access: yesForest@, 2006
The 11th Conference of Parties (Montreal 2005) has favoured initiatives for reducing emissions from deforestation in developing countries. This issue was discussed at a workshop, organised in Bad Blumau (Austria, 10-12 May 2006) to provide a timely forum

Allocations and manipulation in Kyoto type protocols [PDF]

open access: yes
We study an incomplete information, non-cooperative model of the determination of national emission endowments under a Kyoto type protocol with heterogeneous nations.

The FOXC2‐LAMA4 Axis Orchestrates Vasculogenic Mimicry and Immunosuppressive Niche Formation to Drive Metastatic Cascade in Renal Cell Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Advanced clear cell renal cell carcinoma metastasis is driven by a FOXC2+ tumor subpopulation. These cells execute vasculogenic mimicry for dissemination and secrete LAMA4. LAMA4 engages macrophage ITGA6, activating the STAT6/GATA3 axis to polarize macrophages into a pro‐metastatic, immunosuppressive phenotype.

Variation of soil carbon stocks during the renaturation of old fields: the case study of the Pantelleria Island, Italy

open access: yesForest@, 2007
The recent abandonment of marginal agricultural areas in the Mediterranean has caused an increase of the surface occupied by pre-forest and forest formations.
