Association of type 2 diabetes treatment status with in vivo biomarkers of Alzheimer's disease
Abstract INTRODUCTION The association of type 2 diabetes (T2D) treatment with Alzheimer's disease (AD) is unclear. We examined T2D treatment status in relation to amyloid beta (Aβ) burden and AD‐related downstream processes. METHODS This cross‐sectional study included 546 cognitively unimpaired adults (mean age = 64.2 ± 3.2 years, 65% women ...

A Sensory Method to Evaluate Food Texture for Oropharyngeal Dysphagia by Emulating Oral Tasks
Oropharyngeal dysphagia (OD) impairs chewing and swallowing, requiring adapted food textures. This study presents a sensory evaluation method for texture‐modified foods based on emulating oral tasks performed by people with OD. Specific oral tasks were linked to key attributes such as hardness, adhesiveness, and residue.

We used high‐resolution ex vivo diffusion MRI and graph theory to analyze ascending arousal network development in fetal to adult brains, revealing increasing rostral integration postnatally and identifying the dorsal raphe nucleus and ventral tegmental area as persistent connectivity hubs from fetal stages through adulthood.

Amyloid beta and tau are associated with the dual effect of neuroinflammation on neurodegeneration
Abstract INTRODUCTION Current literature presents conflicting results regarding the impact of neuroinflammation on Alzheimer's disease (AD)‐related neurodegeneration. While some studies suggest that neuroinflammation potentiates neurodegeneration, others indicate a protective effect.

Abstract INTRODUCTION Early‐onset Alzheimer's disease (EOAD) and late‐onset Alzheimer's disease (LOAD) share similar amyloid etiology, but evidence from smaller‐scale studies suggests that they manifest differently clinically. Current analyses sought to contrast the cognitive profiles of EOAD and LOAD.
