Matrix formulation of fuzzy rule-based systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
In this paper, a matrix formulation of fuzzy rule based systems is introduced. A gradient descent training algorithm for the determination of the unknown parameters can also be expressed in a matrix form for various adaptive fuzzy networks.

Machine Learning and Fuzzy C-Means Clustering for the Identification of Tomato Diseases

open access: yesIndonesian Journal of Computer Science, 2023
Diseases in tomato plants can cause economic losses in the agricultural industry. Identification of tomato plant diseases is important to choosing the right action to control their spread. In this research, we propose an approach to identify tomato plant

RoundMi: A quantitative method to analyze mitochondrial morphology in mitotic cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
RoundMi is a workflow for rapid analysis of mitochondrial morphology in mitotic cells. By combining adaptive preprocessing with automated segmentation and quantification, it enables accurate measurements from single focal plane images, reducing acquisition time and computational demands while remaining compatible with high‐throughput fixed and live ...

Pattern Formation Induced by Fuzzy Fractional-Order Model of COVID-19

open access: yesAxioms, 2022
A novel coronavirus infection system is established for the analytical and computational aspects of this study, using a fuzzy fractional evolution equation (FFEE) stated in Caputo’s sense for order (1,2).

Protocol for quantifying miRNA trafficking across the endosomal membrane

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
An in vitro protocol measures miRNA uptake into endosomes isolated from mammalian cell extracts, which are free of subcellular contaminants. Performed at 37 °C in the presence of ATP, it ensures the import of single‐stranded miRNA into the endosomal lumen.

Application of Fuzzy K-Nearest Neighbor (FKNN) to Detect the Parkinson’s Disease

open access: yes, 2019
Parkinson’s disease is a neurological disorder in which there is a gradual loss of brain cells that make and store dopamine. Researchers estimate that four to six million people worldwide, are living with Parkinson’s.

Vestibular Patient Journey: Insights From Vestibular Disorders Association (VeDA) Registry

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Vestibular symptoms impose a high burden of disability. Understanding real‐world diagnostic and treatment pathways can identify care gaps and guide interventions. We aimed to characterize symptom profiles, diagnostic trends, provider involvement, and treatment patterns in vestibular disorders.

General fuzzy min-max neural network for clustering and classification [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
This paper describes a general fuzzy min-max (GFMM) neural network which is a generalization and extension of the fuzzy min-max clustering and classification algorithms of Simpson (1992, 1993).
