The carbohydrate metabolism and expression of carbohydrate-active enzyme genes in Aspergillus luchuensis fermentation of tea leaves [PDF]

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology
IntroductionCarbohydrates, which make up 20 to 25% of tea beverages, are responsible for their flavor and bioactivity. Carbohydrates of pu-erh tea change during microbial fermentation and require further research.

A Liquid Chromatography with Tandem Mass Spectrometry‐Based Proteomic Analysis of Primary Cultured Cells and Subcultured Cells Using Mouse Adipose‐Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells

open access: yesStem Cells International, Volume 2019, Issue 1, 2019., 2019
Adipose‐derived mesenchymal stem cells (MSC‐ATs) are representative cell sources for cell therapy. However, how cell stress resulting from passage influences the MSC‐AT protein expression has been unclear. In this study, a protein expression analysis was performed by liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry (LC‐MS/MS) using mouse primary ...

Cellulase and Xylanase Production by Penicillium echinulatum in Submerged Media Containing Cellulose Amended with Sorbitol

open access: yesEnzyme Research, Volume 2013, Issue 1, 2013., 2013
The present work investigated the use of sorbitol as a soluble carbon source, in association with cellulose, to produce cellulases and xylanases in submerged cultures of Penicillium echinulatum 9A02S1. Because cellulose is an insoluble carbon source, in cellulase production, there are some problems with rheology and oxygen transfer.
