Tobacco was transformed with three different alleles (L2, L6, and L10) of the flax rust resistance gene L, a member of the toll interleukin-1 receptor, nucleotide-binding site, leucine-rich repeat (TIR-NBS-LRR) class of plant disease resistance genes. L6

A viscoelastic theory of turbulent fluid permeated with fibril magnetic fields [PDF]
The solar convection zone is a turbulent plasma interacting with a magnetic field. Its magnetic field is often described as fibrillar since it consists of slender flux tubes occupying a small fraction of the total volume.

Chiral potassium base catalysts featuring 1,1´‐bi‐2‐naphthol‐derived chiral crown ethers as ligands promote a tandem allylic isomerization/asymmetric aldol‐Tishchenko reaction of allylic alcohols and aldehydes. This method provides enantioenriched 1,3‐diols with excellent diastereoselectivity and high enantioselectivity, thereby expanding the synthetic

Influence of complex disorder on skew-scattering Hall effects in $L1_0$-ordered FePt alloy [PDF]
We show by first-principles calculations that the skew-scattering anomalous Hall and spin-Hall angles of L$1_0$-ordered FePt drastically depend on different types of disorder.

This study demonstrates a strain‐tunable anomalous Hall response in the (110)‐oriented FeRh thin film. First‐principles calculations reveal that strain‐induced symmetry lowering redistributes Berry curvature near the Fermi level via band shifts and avoided crossings.

Training at maximal power in resisted sprinting: Optimal load determination methodology and pilot results in team sport athletes. [PDF]
In the current study we investigated the effects of resisted sprint training on sprinting performance and underlying mechanical parameters (force-velocity-power profile) based on two different training protocols: (i) loads that represented maximum power ...

Arabidopsis L10 ribosomal proteins in UV-B responses [PDF]
Ribosomal protein L10 (RPL10) is an ubiquitous protein that participates in joining the 40S and 60S ribosomal subunits into a functional 80S ribosome; however, increasing evidences indicate that RPL10 from various organisms has multiple extra ribosomal functions, besides being a constituent of ribosome and its role in translation.

Large spin anomalous Hall effect in L10-FePt [PDF]
The spin anomalous Hall effect (SAHE), generating spin angular momentum flow (spin current, ${\mathbf{J}}_{\mathrm{s}})$, in an $L{1}_{0}\text{\ensuremath{-}}\mathrm{FePt}$ ferromagnet was quantitatively evaluated by exploiting giant magnetoresistance ...
