Phosphorescent Platinum(II) Complexes With Diazinedipyrrolide Pincer Ligands: Structure and Photophysical Properties

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, EarlyView.
A new family of phosphorescent Pt(II) complexes with pyrimidinedipyrrolide ligands, including a pyrazine analog, was designed and synthesized. Their emission properties can be finely tuned via ligand modification, revealing strong phosphorescence originating from intraligand charge transfer transitions.

The relationship between cellular protein content and selenium accumulation in freshwater microalgae

open access: yesIntegrated Environmental Assessment and Management, EarlyView.
Abstract Variability in the bioconcentration of selenium (Se) by primary producers at the base of the food web results in uncertainty in predictions of bioaccumulation and ecological risk to higher trophic level organisms. Water chemistry, speciation of Se, and periphyton community composition have all been suggested as factors that contribute to ...

Phase formation in L10 magnets

open access: yesJournal of Applied Physics, 2007
Structural and magnetic properties of substituted L10 compounds are investigated. Focus is on L10 structures of the general type ABC2, where each second layer of the original structure is replaced by a checkerboard of A and B atoms. At low temperatures, L10 compounds with ABC2 stoichiometry will segregate into AC and AB L10 phases, forming an ordered ...

Chemical order and crystallographic texture of FePd:Cu thin alloy films

open access: yes, 2012
FePd thin films have been recently considered as promising material for high-density magnetic storage devices. However, it is necessary to find a proper method of fabrication for the (001)-textured and chemically well-ordered alloy.

A dendrimer enhanced CRISPR/Cas12a performance for the evaluation of acidogenic capacity in cariogenic bacteria

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.
A CRISPR/Cas12a‐powered dendritic DNA nanostructure is assembled to create confined enzymatic microdomains, enabling ultrasensitive detection. Integrated into a paper‐based origami biosensor, it allows equipment‐free on‐site quantification of acidogenic pathogens for the early diagnosis of dental caries.

A Controllability Investigation of Magnetic Properties for FePt Alloy Nanocomposite Thin Films

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2019
An appropriate writing field is very important for magnetic storage application of L10 FePt nanocomposite thin films. However, the applications of pure L10 FePt are limited due to its large coercivity.

Magnetization reversal in particulate L10 nanostructures

open access: yesScripta Materialia, 2005
Abstract Magnetization processes in particulate L1 0 FePt nanostructures are investigated by model calculations and numerical simulations. The systems considered include anisotropic nanograins embedded in non-magnetic matrix; randomly oriented nanoclusters embedded in a C matrix, and nanocomposites of FePt particles in a semi-hard matrix.
