Spatial Control Over Tether‐Tunable Coordination on Palladium for Divergent Synthesis of Bicyclo[n.1.0]alkanes via Oxidative Cyclopropanation of Enynes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 19, 2 April 2026.
We have developed a Pd‐catalyzed oxidative cyclopropanation of 1,n‐enynes employing cyclic diacyl peroxides as bifunctional reagents that serve as both tether‐tunable oxidants and spatially controlled dicarboxylate anions. ABSTRACT Bicyclo[n.1.0]alkanes are highly valuable scaffolds in drug discovery and synthetic chemistry.

SPATIAL COMPETITION AND THE LOCATION OF FIRMS WITH NON-UNIFORMLY DISTRIBUTED COSTUMERS

open access: yesRevista de Economía Política de Buenos Aires, 2015
This paper develops a free-entry spatial model that provides theoretical assessments for explaining firms’ prices and locations with a non-uniform costumers’ distribution.

Tunable Magnetoelectric Fluxguide Cancels Power Nulls in WPT Systems With Highly Misaligned Coils

open access: yesEnergy Technology, Volume 14, Issue 4, April 2026.
This article presents a tunable smart fluxguide made from a magnetoelectric composite to enhance positioning freedom and maintain coupling in wireless power transfer (WPT) systems. It actively distributes the magnetic field and enables to overcome unavoidable zero‐charge areas, known as “powernulls.” However, redistributing the magnetic field can ...

Reversible Nucleolar Stress and Cell Growth Arrest Triggered by Acidic pH

open access: yesJournal of Cellular Physiology, Volume 241, Issue 4, April 2026.
Acidic pH reduced pre‐rRNA levels and triggered nucleolar stress, as evidenced by NPM1 translocation from the nucleolus to the nucleoplasm, leading to G1‐phase arrest and growth inhibition. These effects were reversible upon restoration of neutral pH, and the partial rescue by reductant treatment suggested involvement of oxidative stress. This acidosis‐

Recirculated submarine groundwater discharge dominates nutrient inputs and enhances eutrophication risk in a coastal lagoon

open access: yesLimnology and Oceanography, Volume 71, Issue 4, April 2026.
Abstract Submarine groundwater discharge (SGD) is a widely recognized pathway for nutrient transport to coastal systems. Prior studies overlook the unique biogeochemical signatures of different SGD pathways, neglecting their differences in biogeochemical transformations and spatiotemporal factors.

Pharmacological Inhibition of APT2 by Solasonine Promotes Ferroptosis Through Palmitoylation Modulation in Gallbladder Cancer

open access: yesPhytotherapy Research, Volume 40, Issue 4, Page 1642-1660, April 2026.
Schematic illustration of SS‐induced ferroptosis through targeting APT2‐mediated STAT3 palmitoylation in GBC cells. ABSTRACT Gallbladder cancer (GBC), the most prevalent and lethal biliary tract malignancy, lacks effective therapeutic strategies. Solasonine (SS), a bioactive steroidal alkaloid derived from Solanum nigrum L, exhibits antitumor activity ...

Exploring the Spatiotemporal Carbon Fluxes in a Typical Subtropical Shallow Lake Using a Modified LAKE Model

open access: yesWater Resources Research, Volume 62, Issue 4, April 2026.
Abstract Lakes are an important type of surface water body, while their carbon emissions and the underlain mechanisms that potentially vary among different lakes remain highly uncertain. In this study, we modified the LAKE model and successfully applied it, along with multiple complementary machine learning methods, to Taihu Lake, a typical subtropical

Toward Programmed Molecular Lanthanide Probes and Sensors

open access: yesCHIMIA, 1996
The peculiar spectroscopic properties of the lanthanide metal ions (4f-block, Lnlll), and particularly Eulll and Tblll, make them suitable for the design of chemical luminescent probes and analytical sensors when Lnlll is introduced into organized ...

Larsen C Ice Shelf in the Western Weddell Sea is a Hotspot for Export Production in the Antarctic Ocean

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Biogeosciences, Volume 131, Issue 4, April 2026.
Abstract The Southern Ocean accounts for >30% of the global ocean CO2 sink as a result of its solubility and biological pumps. To investigate the biological pump near Larsen C Ice Shelf (LCIS) in the Southern Ocean's western Weddell Sea, we measured the concentrations and nitrogen isotope ratios of nitrate, ammonium, and particulate organic nitrogen ...
