Mycobacterium bolletii Respiratory Infections
Contrary to other species in the Mycobacterium chelonae-abscessus complex, we reidentified M. bolletii strains isolated from 4 respiratory patients and found these strains to be uniformly resistant to clarithromycin.

Strategic exits in stochastic partnerships: The curse of profitability
We study dynamic partnerships where the output evolves stochastically, each player can exit at any time, and players who have exited continue to accrue some benefits if the remaining players keep contributing to the partnership. Players can strategically exit to free‐ride on their partners' contributions, knowing that it may trigger subsequent exits of

Ribosomal Protein L22 Loss Predisposes Stem Cells to Transformation By Altering Metabolism
Abstract While mutations in ribosomal proteins (RP) have long been associated with increased cancer risk, the molecular basis for this association remains unclear. The prevailing view is that mutations in RP increase cancer risk either by impairing the biogenesis or function of the ribosome. Here, we report that loss of the RP, Rpl22, is

Prediction of resistance to erythromycin in the genus Rickettsia by mutations in L22 ribosomal protein [PDF]
Typhus group (TG) rickettsiae are naturally susceptible to erythromycin whereas spotted fever group (SFG) rickettsioses are not. The aim of this study was to compare in silico genetic determinants known to be associated with resistance to macrolide compounds.Available sequences of the 23S RNA gene, and L4 and L22 ribosomal proteins of rickettsial ...

Evaluating tropospheric nitrogen dioxide in UKCA using OMI satellite retrievals over south and east Asia [PDF]
We compare tropospheric column nitrogen dioxide (NO2) in the United Kingdom Chemistry and Aerosol (UKCA) model version 11.0 with satellite measurements from NASA's Earth Observing System (EOS) Aura satellite Ozone Monitoring Instrument (OMI) to ...

Distinguished rheological models in the framework of a thermodynamical internal variable theory
We present and analyze a thermodynamical theory of rheology with single internal variable. The universality of the model is ensured as long as the mesoscopic and/or microscopic background processes satisfy the applied thermodynamical principles, which ...

This study highlights the importance of multi‐omic analyses in characterizing colorectal cancers. Indeed, our analysis revealed a rare CMS1 exhibiting dampened immune activation, including reduced PD‐1 expression, moderate CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, and suppressed JAK/STAT pathway.

Multi-Dimensional Framework for Assessing Farm Competitiveness in Bulgaria with Legal Structures
This study challenges traditional economic models of farm competitiveness by highlighting the under-examined role of legal structures. It argues that a farm’s governing structure significantly impacts its ability to thrive in the market.

Gravitational Radiation from Color-Kinematics Duality
We perturbatively calculate classical radiation in Yang-Mills theory and dilaton gravity, to next-to-leading order in couplings. The radiation is sourced by the scattering of two relativistic massive scalar sources with the dynamical effect taken into ...
