DISCOVERY OF FOUR HIGH PROPER MOTION L DWARFS, INCLUDING A 10 pc L DWARF AT THE L/T TRANSITION, [PDF]
We discover four high proper motion L dwarfs by comparing the Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE) to the Two Micron All Sky Survey (2MASS). WISE J140533.32+835030.5 is an L dwarf at the L/T transition with a proper motion of 0.85+/-0.02" yr^-1, previously overlooked due to its proximity to a bright star (V=12 mag).

A Search for L Dwarf Binary Systems [PDF]
We present analysis of HST Planetary Camera images of twenty L dwarfs identified in the course of the Two Micron All-Sky Survey. Four of the targets have faint, red companions at separations between 0.07 and 0.29 arcseconds (1.6 to 7.6 AU). In three cases, the bolometric magnitudes of the components differ by less than 0.3 magnitudes. Since the cooling

Dwarf Archives: A Compendium of M, L, and T Dwarf Data [PDF]
Dwarf Archives is an online archive containing astrometric, photometric, and spectroscopic information for all known L and T dwarfs (over 650 objects), as well as a select sample of over 500 M dwarfs. In this paper, we describe the specific data available in the archive, the interface for searching through it and discuss plans for future updates.

A CROSS-MATCH OF 2MASS AND SDSS. II. PECULIAR L DWARFS, UNRESOLVED BINARIES, AND THE SPACE DENSITY OF T DWARF SECONDARIES [PDF]
We present the completion of a program to cross-correlate the SDSS Data Release 1 and 2MASS Point Source Catalog in search for extremely red L and T dwarfs.

Clouds, Brightening and Multiplicity Across the L Dwarf∕T Dwarf Transition [PDF]
The transition between the two lowest-luminosity spectral classes of brown dwarfs--the L dwarfs and T dwarfs--is traversed by nearly all brown dwarfs as they cool over time. Yet distinct features of this transition, such as the "J-band bump" and an unusually high rate of multiplicity, remain outstanding problems, although evidence points to condensate ...

K2 Ultracool Dwarfs Survey. I. Photometry of an L Dwarf Superflare [PDF]
Abstract We report on K2 Campaign 8 measurements of a huge white light flare on the L1 dwarf SDSSp J005406.55-003101.8 (EPIC 220186653). The source is a typical L1 dwarf at a distance of ∼50 pc, probably an old hydrogen-burning star rather than a young brown dwarf.

We consider the boundary value problem of finite beam deflection on elastic foundation with two point boundary conditions of the form $ u^{(p)}(-l) = u^{(q)}(-l) = u^{(r)}(l) = u^{(s)}(l) = 0 $, $ p < q $, $ r < s $, which we call elementary.

We present the results of a proper motion survey of the Hyades to search for brown dwarfs, based on UKIDSS and 2MASS data. This survey covers ~275 square degrees to depth of K~15 mag, equivalent to a mass of 0.05 solar masses assuming a cluster age of 625 Myr. The discovery of 12 L dwarf Hyades members is reported.
