Harnessing DNA Binding Proteins from Starved Cells for DNA Origami Protection

open access: yesSmall Structures, Volume 7, Issue 1, January 2026.
E. coli Dps is electrostatically self‐assembled with DNA origami to yield highly ordered structures. The cooperative assembly of ordered structures depends on the size and shape of the DNA origami. Furthermore, the degree of order could be improved by increasing the buffer ionic strength.

Rapid Identification of Superior Endogenous Signal Peptides for Heterologous Protein Secretion by Corynebacterium glutamicum Through Modular Cloning and Automation

open access: yesMicrobial Biotechnology, Volume 19, Issue 1, January 2026.
A modular cloning approach combined with an automated high‐throughput platform enabled rapid identification of superior endogenous signal peptides for the secretion of proteins of interest (POIs), such as industrial enzymes, by Corynebacterium glutamicum. This streamlined workflow accelerates discovery and development of efficient bacterial systems for

Social media videos highlight the impacts of the illegal use of snares on Brazilian biodiversity

open access: yesPeople and Nature, Volume 7, Issue 11, Page 2811-2820, November 2025.
Abstract Snares are one of the most used types of non‐selective traps for hunting worldwide, though their use is prohibited in many countries, including Brazil. Indiscriminate and unmonitored use of snares can induce serious conservation problems, particularly in megadiverse countries where higher species richness and diversity mean that the ...
