Ru‐Doping‐Engineered Oxygen Vacancies in MoO3‐x Nanostructured Films With Ultrahigh Capacitance for Flexible Asymmetric Supercapacitors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Ru‐doping‐induced defect engineering enables freestanding Ru–MoO3‐x flexible films with enriched oxygen vacancies, modulated band structure, and enhanced charge transport. The optimized electrode delivers ultrahigh capacitance approaching the theoretical limit of MoO3, while assembled asymmetric supercapacitors exhibit high energy density, wide‐voltage

Liquid Gallium Nanozyme Coatings Enable Sustained Nitric Oxide Generation With Antioxidant and Anti‐Inflammatory Functions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Liquid gallium (Ga) acts as a catalytic center for nitric oxide (NO) generation within a tannic acid–zirconium metal–phenolic network coating. Stabilized Ga nanoparticles catalyze S‐nitrosothiol decomposition through surface electron transfer, enabling controlled NO production, enhancing endothelial biocompatibility, and providing antioxidant and anti ...

Cassiterite fingerprinting by LA-ICP-MS

Journal of Analytical Atomic Spectrometry, 2013
Cassiterite (SnO2) has been specified as a ‘conflict mineral’ by a U.S. Government Act. This requires all companies that use tin in their products to verify that this tin does not originate from conflict regions in the Democratic Republic of the Congo where an ongoing violent conflict is fuelled by those minerals.

The Role of LA–ICP–MS in Palaeoclimate Research

Elements, 2016
Past environmental parameters such as temperature, pH and CO2 can be reconstructed from chemical 'proxies' (elemental and isotopic compositions) stored in various 'archives' such as corals, foraminifera and bivalves. Versatile, rapid, simple and comparatively inexpensive microanalysis via laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LA ...

Matrix dependency of baddeleyite U–Pb geochronology by femtosecond-LA-ICP-MS and comparison with nanosecond-LA-ICP-MS

Journal of Analytical Atomic Spectrometry, 2018
Baddeleyite is a key mineral in geochronology of mafic rocks as it crystallizes in silica-undersaturated systems that do not grow zircon.

LA-ICP-MS analysis of waste polymer materials

Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry, 2010
Waste polymer materials were analyzed by laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS). The concentrations of 35 elements were determined by using different types of external standards, namely glass and polyethylene (PE) based. Prior to the LA-ICP-MS analysis of determined elements, Na and/or Zn were used as internal standards.

Microanalysis of ceramics with PIXE and LA-ICP-MS

Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section B: Beam Interactions with Materials and Atoms, 2002
Abstract The provenance postulate states that artifact raw material sources can be determined by chemical characterization as long as between-source chemical differences exceed within-source variation. For ceramics, successful differentiation of sources usually requires the measurement of a large suite of elements.

LA ICP-MS in microelectronics failure analysis

Journal of Materials Science: Materials in Electronics, 2011
To keep up with the trend of integrating more functionality within lighter and smaller consumer electronics devices, the dimensions of components keep shrinking. Technologies such as high density interconnection, 3-D interconnection, system in package (SIP), and flexible circuit are becoming more commonly used.
