We report a dual‐atomic Si–Fe–N–C catalyst synthesized from nitrogen‐rich pinecones and an Fe porphyrin precursor. The inherent Si and N in pinecones form a porous Si–N–C framework that stabilizes Fe atoms during pyrolysis, yielding robust Si–Fe dual sites.

In situ boron isotope determination in amphibole by LA-MC-ICP-MS: matrix effects and new potential reference materials [PDF]
The B isotope systematics (δ11B) in amphibole offer insights into fluid- and melt-dominated processes in the crust-mantle system. We developed an analytical strategy for in situ B isotope determination in amphibole using LA- MC-ICP-MS on material with a ...

A sustainable synthesis of cobalt phthalocyanine (CoPc) using low‐impact solvents yields high‐performance electrocatalysts with reduced waste (E‐factor 18.6). When integrated into gas diffusion electrodes, CoPc achieves up to 12% Faradays efficiency for CO2‐to‐methanol and 65% CO2‐to‐CO conversion, aligning with state‐of‐the‐art materials and enabling ...

The contaminant removal performance of a conventional coagulant, alum, and alternative coagulants, aluminium chlorohydrate (ACH) and ACH + pDADMC, are compared in challenging wastewater treatment conditions (pH >7.8). The interactions of each coagulant with a negatively charged surface are depicted based on quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation ...

Crystallization of Cathode Active Material Precursors from Tartaric Acid Solution
This work investigates a novel approach for closing the gap between recycling and production of lithium‐ion battery cathode material. The new concept is based on antisolvent crystallization of metal carboxylates, which can be directly used as precursors in production of cathode material.
