The motivation behind the development of the new lithium salt LiDFFSI is to combine the advantages of both LiFSI and LiDFSI salts. LiDFFSI offers high ionic conductivity and enhanced compatibility with aluminum current collectors. Additionally, it promotes the formation of a conductive SEI layer rich in LiF and LiH, which contributes to an extended ...

Ultrahigh-temperature osumilite gneisses in southern Madagascar record combined heat advection and high rates of radiogenic heat production in a long-lived high-T orogen [PDF]
We report the discovery of osumilite in ultrahigh‐temperature (UHT) metapelites of the Anosyen domain, southern Madagascar. The gneisses equilibrated at ~930°C/0.6 GPa. Monazite and zircon U–Pb dates record 80 Ma of metamorphism.

Heterogeneous distribution of Al-26 at the birth of the Solar System
It is believed that Al-26, a short-lived (t1/2 = 0.73 Ma) and now extinct radionuclide, was uniformly distributed in the nascent Solar System with the initial Al-26/Al-27 ratio of ~5.2\times10-5, suggesting its external stellar origin.

This picture illustrates a novel aptamer‐based colorimetric assay, which demonstrates that high sensitivity, selectivity, and reliability for the rapid detection of cadmium ions (Cd2+) in water. Molecular dynamics (MD) simulations have revealed that the complexes are more stable, with Cd2+ binding more tightly to the thymine (T) within the aptamer loop.

Charnockites with 2691–2607 Ma magmatic ages from the NMZ show arc‐magmatic geochemical signatures. They correspond to the lower‐crustal equivalent of the Chilimanzi Suite Granite in the Zimbabwe Craton. Lu‐Hf isotopic data of magmatic zircons show negative εHf(t) values (−11.18 to −2.20) with TDMC ages of 3699–3158 Ma, suggesting their protolith ...

A Perspective of Multi‐Reflecting TOF MS
ABSTRACT Time‐of‐flight mass spectrometry (TOF MS) excels in rapid and high‐sensitivity analysis, making it a cornerstone of analytical chemistry. But as sample complexity explodes in omics studies, so does the need for higher resolving power to ensure accurate results.

A Discussion on Genetic Mechanism of the Kuerqis Iron Deposit in Fuyun County, Xinjiang
The large iron deposits in the southern margin of Altay had been studied systematically, but researches on some small Fe-rich type such as Kuerqis iron deposit are still obviously insufficient.

Decoupled carbonate chemistry controls on the incorporation of boron into Orbulina universa [PDF]
In order to fully constrain paleo-carbonate systems, proxies for two out of seven parameters, plus temperature and salinity, are required. The boron isotopic composition (δ11B) of planktonic foraminifera shells is a powerful tool for reconstructing ...
