In situ U-Pb Isotope Dating Techniques for Sandstone-type Uranium Deposits

open access: yesYankuang ceshi, 2020
BACKGROUND Uranium mineral dating has been difficult to ascertain in mineralization chronology. With the development of in situ U-Pb isotope dating technology, it is possible to directly date ore minerals (uranium minerals).

U–Pb zircon ages of the host rocks of the Juomasuo Au–Co–Cu deposit, northeastern Finland [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of the Geological Society of Finland, 2017
The Salittu Formation is one of the few metavolcanic successions in the U-Pb zircon single grain dating using the LA-MC-ICP-MS technique was utilized to determine the age of the host rocks of the Juomasuo Au-Co-Cu deposit located in the late Archean ...

In situ Trace Element and Sr Isotope Composition of Scheelite in the Xiuwacu Molybdenum-Tungsten Deposit, Northwest Yunnan: Constraints on Mineralization

open access: yesYankuang ceshi, 2020
OBJECTIVES The Xiuwacu Mo-W deposit is a typical hydrothermal quartz vein deposit in the Yidun island arc Cu-Mo metallogenic belt, northwest Yunnan. Numerous studies have been conducted on rock and ore chronology and petrogenesis, dynamics, but its ore ...

In situ determination of antimony isotope ratios in Sb minerals by femtosecond LA-MC-ICP-MS

open access: yesJournal of Analytical Atomic Spectrometry, 2021
Here we present a method for in situ determination of stable antimony (Sb) isotope compositions by ultraviolet (UV)-femtosecond-laser-ablation-multi-collector-ICP-MS (fs-LA-MC-ICP-MS).

UPb LA-(MC)-ICP-MS dating of rutile: New reference materials and applications to sedimentary provenance [PDF]

open access: yesChemical Geology, 2013
In response to the general lack of sufficiently abundant and high quality rutile UPb reference materials for in situ geochronology, we have characterised two new potential rutile ~ 1.8 Ga reference materials (Sugluk-4 and PCA-S207) from granulite facies belts of the Canadian Shield, namely the northern Cape Smith Belt of Quebec and the Snowbird ...

In situ boron isotope measurements of natural geological materials by LA-MC-ICP-MS

open access: yesChinese Science Bulletin, 2010
There are two main methods to determine boron isotopic composition. One is the solution method, in which boron is purified after the samples are dissolved in solution and the boron isotope ratios are determined by thermal ionization mass spectrometry (P-TIMS and N-TIMS) or multicollector inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (MC-ICP-MS).

Evaluation of UV-fs-LA-MC-ICP-MS for Precise in situ Copper Isotopic Microanalysis of Cubanite

open access: yesAnalytical Sciences, 2013
We evaluated the capabilities of an in situ method for measuring copper isotopes of cubanite using UV-fs-LA-MC-ICP-MS. A comparison of the UV-fs laser results with those obtained from the NIR-fs laser system shows that there is obviously an improvement in the precision (

All‐Solution‐Processed HgTe Quantum Dot Photodetectors for Extended Short‐Wavelength Infrared Range Enhanced by Plasmonic ITO Nanocrystals

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
All‐solution‐processed, low‐cost extended short‐wavelength infrared photodetectors are realized by coupling colloidal HgTe quantum dots to plasmonic In2O3:Sn,F nanocrystals. Localized surface plasmon resonances boost and spectrally tailor light absorption between 1500 and 3000 nm, enabling responsivities above 40 A W−1.

Lithium Isotopic Analysis of Spodumene by Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry. [PDF]

open access: yesRapid Commun Mass Spectrom
ABSTRACT Rationale Lithium (Li) stable isotopes can provide insight into fluid–rock interaction and magmatic differentiation. Therefore, it is essential to develop an accurate and precise method to determine the Li isotope signature in spodumene.

Reconstruction of Atmospheric Lead Pollution During the Roman Period Recorded in Belgian Ombrotrophic Peatlands Cores

open access: yesAtmosphere, 2018
Two peat cores from two bogs were used to record changes in the atmospheric Pb accumulation rate (Pb AR) in Belgium during the Roman period. The two records were compared to assess the reliability of peat cores as archives of atmospheric Pb deposition ...
