Universal Barriers and Facilitators to Systemic Hepatitis C Care: A Systems‐Informed Qualitative Process Evaluation

open access: yesSystems Research and Behavioral Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Scaling up hepatitis C virus (HCV) testing and treatment for people who inject drugs (PWID) is essential to achieve HCV elimination. We report a retrospective systems‐informed qualitative process evaluation of HCV care across multiple community‐based settings in a region in Scotland, UK.

Veterinary nurses report good interprofessional collaboration with veterinarians, as measured by the Nurse–Physician Collaboration Scale

open access: yesVeterinary Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Veterinary practices provide exceptional patient care and client support when there is effective teamwork between veterinary nurses and veterinarians. However, the frequency of this interprofessional collaboration has not been measured. Methods A cross‐sectional online survey, using the Nurse‒Physician Collaboration Scale to measure

Movement and Space Use Patterns of the Beale's Eyed Turtle (Sacalia bealei) Suggest Sensitivity to Environmental Changes and Poaching 比氏眼斑龟 (Sacalia bealei) 的活动与空间利用模式揭示其对环境变化及盗猎的敏感性

open access: yesWildlife Letters, EarlyView.
Using radiotelemetry, we found that the movement and home range of the endangered Sacalia bealei varied significantly across reproductive classes and seasons, with males exhibiting greater movement than females during wet and mating seasons. The species exhibits strong aquatic dependence, favoring deep pools interspaced among riffle‐pool sequences ...

Experimental analysis and numerical simulation of Laser welding of thin austenitic stainless-steel sheets using two models: Bilinear isotropic strain hardening model and Johnson–Cook model

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Joining Processes
The objective of this study concerns simulation of Laser welding process, in a context of thin austenitic steel structures assembly.Experiments and numerical simulations have been performed in order to predict, in a robust way, distortions induced by the

Study of sdO models: mode trapping

open access: yes, 2009
We present the first description of mode trapping for sdO models. Mode trapping of gravity modes caused by the He/H chemical transition is found for a particular model, providing a selection effect for high radial order trapped modes.

Pulsations of Pre-White Dwarfs with Hydrogen-dominated Atmospheres [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We carried out a fully non-adiabatic analysis for nonradial oscillations of pre-white dwarfs evolved from the post-Asymptotic Giant Branch (AGB) with hydrogen-dominated envelopes.

Population trends and variability within bird communities are amplified by intense land use

open access: yesJournal of Animal Ecology, EarlyView.
We show that bird populations in farmland have stronger long‐term changes and are more variable around these changes than in woodland. Disentangling these two components of population stability helps understand the effects of anthropogenic pressures on wild communities.
