Drilling the Marathousa palaeo‐lake in Greece (Peloponnese): inferring the environmental context of a Middle Pleistocene archaeological site

The Megalopolis Basin is located in the central Peloponnese (Greece), a region that is situated along one of the primary Pleistocene biogeographical corridors for intracontinental hominin migration. The basin comprises several hundred metres of Plio‐Pleistocene sediments alternating between clastics and lignites.

The CD90‐YY1‐SLC1A5 axis plays a significant role in gastric cancer. CD90 promotes the binding of YY1 to the SLC1A5 promoter. CD90 regulates SLC1A5‐mediated glutamine metabolism and ferroptosis. ABSTRACT CD90 (THY1) is a cell surface glycoprotein that plays a crucial role in the occurrence and development of various malignant tumors.

Metabarcoding of Pollen Carried by Syrphids Reveals Novel Plant–Pollinator Interactions in a Protected Natural Area and Agricultural Sites

Using DNA metabarcoding, this study investigates pollen transported by syrphids (Syrphidae) in the Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park and agricultural sites in Northern Italy. The analysis reveals a high diversity of visited plant taxa, including previously undocumented plant–pollinator interactions.

ER proteostasis meets mitochondrial function: contact sites as hubs of communication and therapeutic targets

Proteostasis ensures proper protein folding, modification, and degradation, while its impairment triggers ER stress. Chronic ER stress and maladaptive UPR via the CHOP–ERO1 axis remodel ERMCs, altering calcium signaling and mitochondrial metabolism.
