Authentication on LDP (Label Distribution Protocol)
This article proposes a solution for the LDP (Label Distribution Protocol) from the MPLS (Multiprocol Label Switch) architecture. The objective is authenticate, on an end to end basis, the establishment of an LSP (Label Switching Path) between the Ingress LSR (Label Switching Router) and its Egress, to supply the LDP protocol deficiency that doesn't ...

QoS and service interworking using constraint route label distribution protocol (CR-LDP)
Introducing quality of service features to the IP/TCP protocol suite has become a hot topic of research in both industry and academia. Several architectures have been proposed for QoS support at the network layer (layer 3 in the OSI model). Both integrated services and differentiated services architectures are examples of QoS models that are ...

Improving the reliability of the label distribution protocol
The LDP (label distribution protocol) is used in the control plane to control an optical network. The data plane and the control plane of an optical network could be physically separate. So a failure in the control plane does not necessarily imply a data plane failure and that user communications have to be interrupted.
