The Association between Hypoperfused Myocardium and Systolic Function in Patients With AMI Undergoing Complete Revascularization

open access: yesClinical Cardiology, Volume 49, Issue 8, August 2026.
Hypoperfused myocardium was detected in portions of acute myocardial infarction patients undergoing complete revascularization by hybrid positron emission tomography/magnetic resonance at 2 months. Patients with hypoperfused myocardium (Group A) had higher hs‐CRP and lower T2 values than those without (Group B). The reversal of myocardial perfusion was

Predictive Ability of the CHA2DS2‐VA Score for No‐Reflow Phenomenon in ST‐Elevation Myocardial Infarction Patients Undergoing Primary PCI

open access: yesClinical Cardiology, Volume 49, Issue 8, August 2026.
The CHA2DS2‐VA score predicts no‐reflow after primary PCI in female STEMI patients (AUC 0.673) but not males. These sex‐specific findings support tailored risk stratification: standalone CV score use for women, versus integration with laboratory and procedural markers for men.

Quality Assurance Framework for the Design, Collection and Curation of Standard Data Products From a Distributed Ecology Network

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 8, August 2026.
Ecological data are increasingly collected by networks of collaborators using replicated designs and methods, which can significantly improve the quality and quantity of data throughout the ecological niche and geographic range of species or communities.

Limited influence of nest site vegetation on female wild turkey survival during incubation

open access: yesEcosphere, Volume 17, Issue 8, August 2026.
Abstract Resource quality in heterogeneous environments directly underlies individual fitness. Gallinaceous birds, such as female eastern wild turkeys (Meleagris gallopavo silvestris), face significant reproductive challenges, particularly predation risk associated with ground nesting.

Leveraging Multimodal Large Language Models to Analyse Student Exploration Behaviours in Educational Game Environments

open access: yesJournal of Computer Assisted Learning, Volume 42, Issue 4, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Video data provides rich opportunities to examine student behaviour in game‐based learning environments, capturing not only observable actions but also subtle indicators of cognitive engagement. However, traditional video analysis is labor‐intensive, and current applications of AI to this task are limited by models trained on ...

Ecological Transformations of Coastal Wetlands of the Conterminous United States in Response to Contemporaneous Sea‐Level Rise

open access: yesEarth's Future, Volume 14, Issue 8, August 2026.
Abstract Coastal wetlands are among the most important ecosystems on the planet but are increasingly imperiled by accelerating sea‐level rise (SLR). In the past, biogeomorphic feedbacks have allowed coastal wetlands to adjust vertically and persist through periods of accelerated SLR.

Lithospheric Rheology in Southern California Derived From Novel Observations of Lake Unloading

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Solid Earth, Volume 131, Issue 8, August 2026.
Abstract Recent Lake Cahuilla has undergone repeated filling and drying cycles over the past millennium, resulting in lithospheric and mantle loading responses. Two critical but less well‐constrained factors influencing these responses are the elastic plate thickness and mantle relaxation time.
