Heteroleptic Ag(I) Complexes Bearing Benzothiazole and Benzoxazole Ligands for Orange‐Red Light‐Emitting Electrochemical Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Light‐emitting Electrochemical Cells (LECs) are appealing electroluminescent devices with potential application in low‐cost, large‐area display technology and disposable devices. In the manuscript, a novel family of bright photo‐ and electro‐active heteroleptic silver(I) is presented and comprehensively investigated.

Iron‐Mediated Release of Aged Dissolved Organic Carbon From Waterlogged Peatland Under Warming

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study conducts a five‐year in situ warming experiment in high‐altitude peatlands to examine dissolved organic carbon (DOC) release. The study shows that warming promotes the release of plant‐derived modern DOC in drained peatlands, but amplifies aquatic export of century‐old DOC from waterlogged peatlands via Fe‐mediated DOC mobilization—a ...

Synergistic Silylium‐Ion and Palladium Catalysis Enables Migratory Alkene Silylation With Allylsilanes by Formal C–H/C–Si Metathesis

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Merging silylium‐ion and palladium catalysis provides a mechanistically distinct route to allylsilanes by formal C–H/Si–H metathesis. Using allylsilanes as silicon proelectrophiles, various allylarenes undergo migrative silylation, selectively yielding (E)‐allylsilanes.

Soil phosphorus fractions in response to cropping system, liming, and phosphate fertilization in an expanding sugarcane plantation area

open access: yesActa Scientiarum. Agronomy
The forms of phosphorus (P) present in soil are not stable and permanent. The sequential fractionation of soil P allows us to understand the dynamics of this nutrient in the soil.

Revolutionising Agricultural Sustainability: New ‘Furrow Tillage’ can Mitigate Short‐Term Soil‐to‐Atmosphere CO2 Flux and Promote Soil‐Plant‐Microbe Health

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Furrow tillage resolves the conventional‐vs.‐no‐tillage trade‐off by simultaneously cutting CO2 efflux to 2.0–3.0 g C m−2 d−1 and unlocking high nutrient availability for the rice rhizosphere. This scalable agronomic solution strengthens soil health, enhances plant physiology, reshapes microbial metabolism, and shifts paddy systems toward a net ...

Luminescence Vapochromism of a Cu(I)/Na Phosphane Iodide Assembly Based on a Secondary‐Sphere Sodium Response

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
The luminescence of a heterometallic d‐s {Cu2I2Na2} phosphane‐phosphinate aggregate is regulated by an interplay of Na+–π/I– contacts and reversible coordination of oxygen‐containing organic molecules to Na ions. Structural variations caused by the incoming guest lead to a wide and selective variation of the emission color and illustrate a new approach

Phosphorus Dynamics in Managed and Natural Soils: SEM-PLS Analysis of Vaccinium, Forest, and Grassland Ecosystems

open access: yesPlants
Phosphorus (P) availability in soils is often constrained by its accumulation in non-labile phosphorus (NLP) forms, limiting its accessibility to plants.

Fractionation and availability of phosphorus in acid soils of Hagereselam, Southern Ethiopia under different rates of lime

open access: yesChemical and Biological Technologies in Agriculture, 2017
Background Phosphorus (P) availability is commonly assumed to limit productivity in many tropical soils, yet there is relatively little information on the phosphorus chemical forms, distribution, and transformations that P undergoes in Ethiopian soils ...
