YAP1::TFE3 mediates endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal plasticity in epithelioid hemangioendothelioma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The YAP1::TFE3 fusion protein drives endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EndMT) plasticity, resulting in the loss of endothelial characteristics and gain of mesenchymal‐like properties, including resistance to anoikis, increased migratory capacity, and loss of contact growth inhibition in endothelial cells.

A laboratory investigation of the variability of cloud reflected radiance fields [PDF]

open access: yes
A method to determine the radiative properties of complex cloud fields was developed. A Cloud field optical simulator (CFOS) was constructed to simulate the interaction of cloud fields with visible radiation.

Emerging role of ARHGAP29 in melanoma cell phenotype switching

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study gives first insights into the role of ARHGAP29 in malignant melanoma. ARHGAP29 was revealed to be connected to tumor cell plasticity, promoting a mesenchymal‐like, invasive phenotype and driving tumor progression. Further, it modulates cell spreading by influencing RhoA/ROCK signaling and affects SMAD2 activity. Rho GTPase‐activating protein

CAMAC subsystem and user context utilities in ngdp framework

open access: yes, 2010
The ngdp framework advanced topics are described. Namely we consider work with CAMAC hardware, "selfflow" nodes for the data acquisition systems with the As-Soon-As-Possible policy, ng_mm(4) as alternative to ng_socket(4), the control subsystem, user ...

Dielectric properties of Granodiorite partially saturated with water and its correlation to the detection of seismic electric signals

open access: yes, 2011
Transient electric signals emitted prior to earthquake occurrence are recorded at certain sites in the Earth's crust termed sensitive. These field observations enforce the laboratory investigation of the dielectric response of rocks forming these ...

PYCR1 inhibition in bone marrow stromal cells enhances bortezomib sensitivity in multiple myeloma cells by altering their metabolism

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study investigated how PYCR1 inhibition in bone marrow stromal cells (BMSCs) indirectly affects multiple myeloma (MM) cell metabolism and viability. Culturing MM cells in conditioned medium from PYCR1‐silenced BMSCs impaired oxidative phosphorylation and increased sensitivity to bortezomib.

Effects of Injectable Solutions on the Quality of Monocyte-Derived Dendritic Cells for Immunotherapy

open access: yesJournal of Immunology Research
Therapeutic vaccines based on monocyte-derived dendritic cells have been shown to be promising strategies and may act as complementary treatments for viral infections, cancers, and, more recently, autoimmune diseases.
