DISCRETE ELEMENT MODELLING OF PARTICLE DEGARDATION OF RAILWAY BALLAST MATERIAL WITH PFC3D SOFTWARE

open access: yesNauka ta progres transportu, 2019
Purpose. It is a very important issue to be able to determine the accurate particle degradation of railway ballast material. There are three different – but connecting – methodology for that: 1) full scale field tests, 2) full scale or reduced scale ...

Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...
