Labour Standards and Migration : do labour conditions matter ? [PDF]

open access: yes
We study in this paper the interactions between migration rates and the level of labour standards. We use an augmented version of the Grogger and Hanson (2008) model, adding the level of working conditions into the specification.

Dual‐Layer Living Hydrogel Enables On‐Demand Delivery of Phages and Probiotics for Synergistic Wound Infection Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A dual‐layer living hydrogel, ProΦGel, integrates bacteriophages and probiotics for synergistic wound infection therapy. The outer gelatin‐based matrix releases phages on demand in response to P. aeruginosa infections, while inner alginate beads sustain probiotic delivery.

Regions, frictions, and migrations in a model of structural transformation [PDF]

open access: yes
Why do some regions grow faster than others? More precisely, why do rates of convergence differ? Recent research points to labour market frictions as a possible answer. This paper expands along this line by investigating how these labour market frictions

High‐Resolution and Real‐Time In Situ Generation of Cellular Spheroids by Laser‐Assisted Bioprinting for Guided Microvascularization

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Micro‐injection laser‐assisted bioprinting enables ultrafast and precise patterning of small endothelial cell spheroids by injecting a highly concentrated single‐cell suspension into GelMA/ColMA hydrogels. In co‐culture with fibroblasts, controlled pre‐vasculogenic network formation is obtained at microscale resolution.

Mechanoregulatory Effects of Cell‐Scale Microwells on Epithelial Cell Phenotype

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In small polycaprolactone microwells, A549 epithelial cells span well edges, in contrast to cells growing on flat substrates. Focal adhesion sites (yellow) concentrate at topographic boundaries, while cytoskeletal tension (magenta stress fibers) is transmitted to the nucleus (blue), reducing nuclear sphericity.

Migration Impact on Moroccan Unemployment : a Static Computable General Equilibrium Analysis [PDF]

open access: yes
Recently, much research interest is directed towards the impact of migration on the sending country. However, we think that this literature does not successfully analyse the effects of migration on unemployment and wage rates especially in urban areas ...
