Arced Labyrinth Weirs

open access: yesJournal of Hydraulic Engineering, 2012
The discharge capacity and hydraulic efficiency of a labyrinth weir can be increased with an Arced cycle configuration. An Arced geometric layout for labyrinth weirs is presented, including nomenclature for arc-specific geometric variables.

Labyrinth

open access: yesAcademic Psychiatry, 2017
In the past, my work was focused on transferring the flat visual element into the space. I turn away from this concept, because as my Master's thesis I chose a Labyrinth. A labyrinth is not primary flat visual element.

Pseudomonas labyrinthitis

Archives of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology, 1985
Pseudomonas aeruginosa is the gram-negative bacterial rod which is often isolated from chronic aural discharge. This microorganism may also cause necrotizing infection of the external auditory canal in certain patients with impaired host-defense mechanisms. Involvement of the inner ear by this microbe is extremely rare. In this communication, we report

Labyrinthitis Ossificans

Annals of Otology, Rhinology & Laryngology, 1977
Three cases with postinflammatory inner ear sequelae are presented to illustrate unusual histopathologic changes. Endolymphatic hydrops without change in the perilymphatic system was present in one ear following “influenza” meningitis and labyrinthitis ossificans in the contralateral ear.

My Labyrinth

Nursing Administration Quarterly, 1997
Each of us is taking a professional journey. We use our scholarship and our relationship building skills to learn and mentor, experience and contribute, and lead and follow. An immersive labyrinth

2015 IEEE Virtual Reality (VR), 2015
We have developed a 3D VR digital heritage App providing a virtual experience of an elaborate labyrinth that existed in the gardens of the Chateau de Versailles in the 17th and 18th centuries. We are now taking this App into an immersive environment (using an Oculus Rift headset); we will report on the progress of and conclusions from this porting ...

Automata in Labyrinths

1977
The idea of a finite automaton walking in a labyrinth goes back to Shannon /I/. In the last years this problem has been further investigated by D~pp /2/, M~ller /3/ and Budach /4/. DSpp posed the following question: Does there exist a finite initial automaton that finds a way out of every finite plane open labyrinth from any initial position and ...
