Graphical Abstract: Pregnant Karya and Konya Merino ewes display similar pregnancy‐associated glycoproteins (PAGs) profile. Serum PAGs levels increased gradually in both breed during first 11 weeks of pregnancy. Abstract Growth of lambs in an artificial rearing system is key to the economic success of sheep‐milking farms. Social enrichment in the form of quiet human contact has been shown to increase growth rates of lambs after weaning, perhaps by reducing stress and enhancing immune function.
