Laccase activity tests and laccase inhibitors
Sulfhydryl organic compounds described as laccase inhibitors: dithiothreitol, thioglycolic acid, cysteine, diethyldithiocarbamic acid, and sodium azide were tested for their activity toward laccase of Trametes versicolor in different test systems utilising 2, 2'-azino-bis-(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulphonic acid) (ABTS) and 2, 6-dimethoxyphenol as ...

Activity of Laccase Immobilized on TiO2-Montmorillonite Complexes [PDF]
The TiO2-montmorillonite (TiO2-MMT) complex was prepared by blending TiO2 sol and MMT with certain ratio, and its properties as an enzyme immobilization support were investigated. The pristine MMT and TiO2-MMT calcined at 800 °C (TiO2-MMT800) were used for comparison to better understand the immobilization mechanism. The structures of the pristine MMT,

The Role of Laccase from Zygomycetous Fungus Mortierella elasson in Humic Acids Degradation
Biochemical stability of soil humus is an important factor affecting soil quality. Fungi are among the most efficient decomposers of humic matter due to presence of oxidative enzymes, including phenoloxidase laccase. Production of laccase by zygomycetes,

Phenolic substrates for fluorometric detection of laccase activity [PDF]
A fluorometric procedure has been developed for detection and estimation of laccase activity in fungal broth cultures. Laccase solution was pretreated with catalase for 1 h at 37 degrees C and pH 5. Homovanillic acid was then added and the reaction mixture incubated for a further hour at 37 degrees C.

Machine Learning Prediction of Laccase-Catalyzed Oxidation of Aromatic Compounds Using Curated Enzyme-Specific Datasets. [PDF]
We curate laccase‐substrate datasets and train five classifiers, from regularized logistic regression to tree‐based models and ChemBERTa, to predict whether a substrate will be oxidized. Feature importance and attention maps projected onto molecular substructures make the predictions interpretable and useful for pre‐screening before the bench ...
