Micropellets of Pleurotus ostreatus for copper removal: Influence of nutritional conditions and laccase activity on adsorption

open access: yesJournal of Hazardous Materials Letters
Pleurotus ostreatus has emerged as a promising model for heavy metal bioremediation. Given the known role of laccases in copper oxidation, it was hypothesized that higher laccase activity would correlate with increased copper removal.

Laccase production and differential transcription of laccase genes in Cerrena sp. in response to metal ions, aromatic compounds and nutrients

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology, 2016
Laccases can oxidize a wide range of aromatic compounds and are industrially valuable. Laccases often exist in gene families and may differ from each other in expression and function.

Production Of Laccase By A Locally Isolated Fungus For Biodegradation Of Selected Agrowastes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The present study was conducted to screen the significant laccase (ligninolytic enzyme) producers from locally isolated white-rot fungi using agitated and non-agitated culture conditions. The highest laccase producer, identified as Pycnoporus sp. (strain

Characterization of laccase from a novel isolated white-rot fungi Trametes sp. MA-X01 and its potential application in dye decolorization

open access: yesBiotechnology & Biotechnological Equipment, 2018
A novel laccase from a newly isolated white-rot fungus Trametes sp. MA-X01 was characterized. The sodium dodecyl sulphate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) showed that the molecular weight of the laccase produced by Trametes sp.
