Laccase-Catalyzed Dimerization of Honokiol and Magnolol for Multitarget Metabolic Enzyme Inhibitors. [PDF]
Laccase‐Catalyzed Dimerization: An exploration of fungal laccases as sustainable biocatalysts for the synthesis of bioactive neolignan dimers of honokiol and magnolol. The optimization of the dimerization conditions reveals an efficient approach to obtain natural and new dimers, whose improved in vitro inhibitory activity against metabolic enzymes ...

Kinetics of the reduction of metalloproteins by chromous ion [PDF]
The reduction of Cu(330) in Rhus vernicifera laccase by chromous ion is 30% faster than reduction of Cu(614) at room temperature [pH 4.8, µ = 0.1 (NaCl)], and two parallel first-order paths, attributed to heterogeneity of the protein, are observed at ...

Multiple Reaction Monitoring for quantitative laccase kinetics by LC-MS [PDF]
Laccases (EC 1.10.3.2) are enzymes known for their ability to catalyse the oxidation of phenolic compounds using molecular oxygen as the final electron acceptor. Lignin is a natural phenylpropanoids biopolymer whose degradation in nature is thought to be

For the first time a laccase from Trametes versicolor was immobilized on a natural clinoptilolite with Si/Al=5 to obtain a biocatalyst for environmental applications. Immobilization procedures exploiting adsorption and covalent binding were both tested, and only the last provided enough activity for practical applications.

Preparation, characterization and trifluralin degradation of laccase-modified cellulose nanofibers
Laccase, an oxidoreductase enzyme, can biodegrade persistent pesticides and other xenobiotics to less toxic monomers. The present work involves immobilization of laccase onto activated nanocellulose fibers (CNFs) extracted from bagasse.
